Interpersonal and Intrapersonal Communication

 

 The communication which
takes place between two or more persons is called Interpersonal Communication.
It includes all personal interactions, contacts and dialogues between persons,
persons and groups or a vice versa. It is oral as well as written
communication. But, generally, it is associated to spoken communication.
Interview, meeting and group discussion are the examples of interpersonal
communication. It needs the skills like listening, emphasising, analysing,
interpreting and persuading.

  When the person
communicates with himself, it is called intrapersonal communication. It could
be called self-communication or self-dialogue or self-talk or inner dialogue.
It is a kind of introspection. It includes reflections, contemplation and
meditation. According to some experts, every human communicates with himself
nearly 50,000 times in a day.
